Benefits of ADPS Membership
The ADPS has assisted dealers in all aspects of the stamp
trade for over 40 years.
The modest £25 annual
subscription includes:
- Customer Confidence
- Members
can use the ADPS logo in their advertising, giving prospective customers
confidence that they are dealing with someone they can trust. This can lead to increased business for
members.
- Confidential List
- Details
of problem clients, reported by other members, are distributed
confidentially each month. This can warn members to be wary should they
too be approached by certain individuals. Such information has protected
numerous members from potentially significant losses over the years. This ‘insurance’ can more than justify
the annual subscription.
- Debt Recovery Service
- If
a client fails to pay, our Confidential Lists Officer can write to them
on your behalf. Over recent years we have helped recover thousands of
pounds worth of stamps and cash on behalf of members.
- The ADPS Bulletin -
- The
Bulletin is the in-house publication of the Society, sent bi-monthly to
members. It keeps them in touch with the Society, other members and
various aspects of stamp dealing.
Members may advertise in the Bulletin at preferential rates.
- Non-members
rates are £5.00 per half-page and £10.00 per full page per issue. Pre-paid
block bookings for six issues attract one free advertisement. Contact the
ADPS Secretary for details.
- ADPS Newsletter
- The
bi-monthly Newsletter, distributed between each Bulletin, keeps members
up to date with news and information such as Committee votes plus updates
to the Confidential List.
- ADPS Website
- The
ADPS website offers members the opportunity to advertise on the internet
for just £5.00 per annum. Simply send payment and a copy of the required
advert to the Secretary. Direct
email and website links can be included. Reasonable modifications and
updates can be requested at any time. Please see existing adverts as a
guide to suitable formats.
- Help and Advice
- Advice
both on stamps and general aspects of trading - whether trading by
approvals, auctions, lists, shops, fairs or the internet, is available
from an experienced team of fellow dealers. Contact the secretary by
letter, e-mail or telephone, to be put you in touch with someone able to
assist.
